Residential Interiors

Whole-house remodels, kitchens, baths and second-story interiors, walked with you every week and finished as the house you designed, not a version of it.

What we do for homeowners

We remodel the inside of the house: whole-house remodels, kitchens, baths, finish packages and second-story interiors when a family is adding space instead of moving. Framing, drywall, tile, stone, millwork, paint and glass are carried by our own crews, so the details you chose are installed by the people who priced the job, not handed off between subcontractors. A kitchen or a bath can be its own project when that is all the house needs, scoped and scheduled the same careful way as a whole-house job.

How the job runs

We start with a selections calendar: the dates by which stone, tile, cabinets, windows, fixtures and doors have to be chosen so nothing on site waits on a decision. Demolition and rough work open the space, then the finish trades move through in an order that protects the surfaces finished ahead of them. You get a weekly walk with our project manager and a written list of what was decided, so the plan in your head and the plan on the wall stay the same plan. Changes get priced and signed before they are built, not discovered on the invoice.

What moves the number and the calendar

Finish level is the largest driver: natural stone, custom cabinetry and specialty tile change the cost and the calendar at the same square footage. Scope is the second: a kitchen and bath remodel and a whole-house remodel with a second-story interior are different jobs even in the same house. Decision timing is the one families underestimate. A late tile selection can idle a bathroom for weeks, which is why the selections calendar comes with the contract, and it is one of the first things our project manager reviews with you.

Living in the house during the work

Most of our remodels happen with the family still in the house, so we phase the job by floor: one level closed and worked while the rest of the house stays livable, dust contained and a path kept open to the rooms still in use. Kitchens are often the last space touched so the family keeps a working one as long as possible. The sequence is set before the first day of work, not improvised once the crew is on site.

Licensed and insured

We are licensed and insured, with more than twenty years of combined experience among our principals, and we build with our own crews and a weekly walk so the house you move back into is the house you designed.

Frequently asked questions

Who walks the house with me during the remodel?
Our project manager, every week: framing before drywall covers it, tile layouts before the first cut, finishes before the movers arrive. You get a written list of what was decided at each walk and our project manager's number in between.
What is the selections calendar?
A dated list of when stone, tile, cabinets, windows, doors, fixtures and lighting have to be chosen, so nothing on site waits on a decision. It comes with the contract, because a late tile selection is the most common reason a bathroom sits idle for weeks.
Can I stay in the house during the remodel?
Most families do. We phase the job by floor, closing and working one level while the rest of the house stays livable, with dust contained and a path kept open to the rooms still in use. The sequence is set before the first day of work.
Do you only do whole-house remodels, or smaller projects too?
Both. Whole-house remodels, additions and second-story interiors are built by the same crews and checked by the same project manager as a standalone kitchen or bath.
